Good Reads

Suggested Reading

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ENGLISH TEACHER AUNT KAY
Teens would especially love these new books
written by LDS authors:
Michael Vey:
The Prisoner of Cell 25

by Richard Paul Evans
(boys especially like this)
Maze Runner by James Dashner
(for boys and girls)
Matched and its sequel, Crossed
by Allie Condie
(for girls)
Watched by Cindy Hogan.
(for both girls and boys)
All of these books will eventually be made into movies.
They are all thrillers and you don’t
have to worry about inappropriate
language or scenes.

AUNT LOUISE RECOMMENDS
Jacob T. Marley
by R. William Bennett
A great companion book to A Christmas Carol
by Charles Dickens
SECRET SANTA
by Anne Osborn Poelman
One of my all time favorite Christmas reads.
RACHEL GARNER RECOMMENDS
The Simeon Solution
by Anne Osborn Poleman
Really easy, quick, uplifting read. All about a
woman’s conversion story.
The Goose Girl
by Shannon Hale
A young adult book, so it’s fairly quick to read.
It’s all about a girl who is a princess,
but is betrayed by her own family
and sent to another kingdom
where she works as the King’s
Goose girl.
 Totally entertaining.
